As we expand, we are looking for a dedicated Freelance Full-Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to multiple projects, including subsidiaries and new ventures of our holding company.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Full-Stack Developer to support our growing portfolio of web-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end development skills, complemented by working knowledge of back-end systems and testing. You will be expected to debug and enhance existing systems, collaborate on new feature development, and ensure seamless integration across the stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-End Development: Build, debug, and enhance user-facing features using modern frameworks.
- Back-End Support: Work with APIs and server-side systems to support full-stack functionality.
- Testing & Optimization: Conduct manual and automated testing, identify performance issues, and suggest improvements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to gather requirements, iterate on solutions, and ship high-quality work.
- Cross-Project Contribution: Support not just Outland.Work but also other ventures and projects across the holding company.
- Documentation: Write and maintain documentation for code, systems, and processes.
Requirements
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Technical Skills: Strong experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with automation techniques and cron jobs.
- Technical Skills: Experience working with RESTful APIs.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
- Testing & Debugging: Experience using debugging tools and writing unit/integration tests.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable with asynchronous collaboration.
- Availability: Freelance role with a capped number of monthly hours (to be determined).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools.
- Exposure to AI or automation tools like n8n.
- Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL).
